All disease and healthy states are well suited for Integrative Medicine.
Many patients want to maintain their youth and good health and desire knowledge on recommended supplements and lifestyle changes.
We also see patients who have seen numerous providers but have not found a cause for their symptoms. It’s not unusual for patients with autoimmune, fatigue, fibromyalgia, GI disorders, menopause, thyroid disease or cancer to visit our integrative center.
Oftentimes, patients are seeking comprehensive care for a complex, long standing disease state. Not just masking symptoms, but finding the root cause.
It is important to remember that it takes years for disease to manifest and it will take time to support the body to heal. That said, with a committed provider and patient partnership, positive outcomes will result.
Oftentimes patients say, “I wish I would have found you sooner”.

NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)
NAD is a coenzyme that powers metabolic processes and impacts a wide variety of systems including digestion, cognition and mental clarity, aging, and overall energy levels.
NAD is found in every cell within the human body. The body naturally produces NAD, but overall levels of the coenzyme decrease over time – leading to cellular changes that result in age-related disease. Lower levels of NAD and bonds between certain types of molecules are linked to damage to DNA which, left unrepaired, accumulate over time into cell changes and mutations. Restoring and supplementing NAD counteracts many of these reactions and help preserve the integrity of DNA over time.
Intravenous treatments of NAD supplement this gradual decline and delivers it directly into the bloodstream, making it available to cells for immediate use. Because NAD bypasses the digestive and metabolic systems, there is a 100% absorption rate for maximum effect and minimal waste. This powerful coenzyme increases levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter associated with mood regulation, and can improve symptoms of depression and anxiety.
It also plays a large role in anti-aging treatments. Aging impacts every system in the body, changing everything from the way the body appears to how it metabolizes food. NAD lengthens telomeres, which are protective caps located at the ends of chromosomes which naturally become shorter as the body ages. One of its most significant roles is in oxidation-reduction reactions. These reactions are a part of the metabolic system and converts food into the energy the body needs to function properly.
NAD helps the liver break down fats that are essential to provide energy for the body. It also helps create ATP, the major source of energy for cells. Another important role that NAD plays, is to regulate circadian and metabolic rhythm. This coenzyme maintains DNA integrity and health and also functions as a quality control mechanism for new proteins.
Among other functions, NAD plays a significant role in anti-aging. NAD works on mitochondria and increases the length of telomeres, which are the protective caps located at the ends of chromosomes that become shorter as the body ages. NAD increases the activity of SIRT1 and PARP 1 proteins, which are linked with a slower rate of aging and influencing DNA repair. A decrease in cognitive ability is a hallmark of aging. NAD rejuvenates and restores brain function by boosting sirtuins – proteins that function as anti-aging mechanisms that slow the effects of neurodegenerative diseases and natural cognitive decline. Together, NAD and sirtuins protect against toxicities in the body and improves cells’ resistance to stress.
NAD treatments last from 4 to 14 days depending on the individual. Many studies have shown promising results of the benefits of NAD supplementation and restoration across a wide range of conditions. Some of the benefits include increased energy, improved brain health and neurological function, decreased fatigue, improved mood and memory, restored muscle function, improved brain regeneration and concentration, slowing and reversal of the aging process, improved metabolism and weight loss, and improved appearance of the skin.
